Good value for the money
Update: I’ve had this camera as deep as 75′ now and no leakage at all in the housing. That said, the video quality is similar to iPhone 3 or iPhone 4. But for $25, it’s already paid for itself in capturing memories. My daughter recently completed her scuba certification and so I wanted a cheap underwater camera to document our first official dives. I figured that for $25 this camera was worth a chance. First off, the watertight case is impressive. (Actually, more impressive than the camera!) It took me a bit to figure out how to open the case and there are a few plastic sheet protectors that need to be removed. For the housing lens protector plastic I had to unscrew the decorative black cowling which I thought was odd. Our dives were only to about 20′ but there was no leakage at all. (We will be doing deeper dives in a couple weeks and if there are problems I will update this post.) Charging the phone worked fine and the battery lasted for 3 dives without needing to be recharged. The water was murky but the photos were acceptable despite that. One thing I noticed is that with bright sunlight, the image quality improved significantly. The pics I posted are screen caps from the video we shot. The overall video quality reminded me of my old iPhone 3S. It was fairly easy to switch between photo and video mode and turn the camera on/off to conserve battery power. I will say that you need to really firmly depress the shutter button to activate and was the only minor drawback I found. Lastly, to get good pics and video, you need to be conscious of holding the camera steady and pan slowly. I give it 5 stars because for the price it is an excellent value for an entry-level uw camera for kid and family fun.

Atrocious video quality, completely unusable.
I ordered two of these cameras for a video shoot- I needed cameras that could be lost or damaged, without running over budget. The quality didn’t need to be great, just okay. I figured since these cameras claimed 1080p that they couldn’t be that bad, so I tried them.Let’s start with the good–They have an LCD screen so you can see what your shooting.-The menu and camera settings are easy to navigate, and the camera is overall easy to use.-Comes with several accessories that seem to be of decent quality. Now the bad-The camera quality is terrible. We are talking the kind of quality you would expect from a 1980’s home camcorder. Forget about the claimed 1080p or 720p resolutions, it might record in some weird variant of that resolution, but that is not the capture resolution at all. The capture resolution, what you actually get, not what is recorded, appears to be closer to 240p. This isn’t an exaggeration. My old Sony TRV80 480i camera looks much sharper when scaled up to 720p then this thing does. It should also be noted that the aspect ratio you are dealing with on this camera is around 4:3, so if you scale to fit 16:9 you end up cropping the image, giving you closer to 180p resolution. No, that is not a typo, I meant 180p, not 1080p.Besides the poor resolution the colors are a disaster; Besides not even being close to capturing what the colors really are, the colors that do get captured are complete mush. Any edges at all have horrible color fringing, making the edges of everything look like dancing rainbows. Now maybe the absolutely horrible, completely unusable quality is something you can live with. You just need a camera with a wide field of view. Well, you are going to be disappointed here as well. Despite the claims that this camera features a 140-degree FOV, it definitely doesn’t. At least not in video mode (I didn’t test the photo mode). The actual field of view seems closer to 50-70 degrees.Conclusion-This camera might make an okay toy for a child. Outside of that I can’t image how it could possibly be useful to anyone with its truly horrible picture quality.

Works
For a $20 camera, this thing really works. I brought it airsofting and while the quality and lighting aren’t great, it gets the job done well

Photo is good video no
The photo quality is good but the video is pixeled and grain looking in almost all types of light. The quality according to video analytics shows the video quality mp to be a 6. So I do not understand how the video could be 1080p when that mp would only be low quality at 640.

Read review. Honest encounter
This will be an honest review. Listen up!This seemed like a quality product in hand. Built well, seemed sturdy l. Good casing. Everything you’d want in an action oriented camera. But the main problem is what you’re getting the camera for… the quality of picture. It wasent great. It was choppy when looked at and the interface was not the best.Great starter camara for seeing what you want to do and getting some really risky shots MAYBE.3 stars for the sturdiness -2 for the quality, interface and picture of the camera

Good for price
The video quality is fine, I’ve had a hard time mounting it on my riding helmet.

Terrible camera
Even for the price, this is a poor quality camera. I’ve owned a few different models of cheap action cams, I use them as a sort of multi-cam setup to record live footage of my band.Of the 4 or five different models I’ve tried, this one has the worst menu setup and one of the worst video quality. The menu is a joke, it is so poorly set up. The video quality is super grainy and clearly upscale badly to 1080p, and the auto-exposure and auto white-balance both jump around super abruptly, making the footage basically unusable. It’s hard to know what you’re going to get with these type of cameras, because so many different models seem to use the same basic housing designs, but the internals can vary greatly. My personal recommendation, if you’re looking for an actual good deal on quality and price, is a camera called the “Speed 20” sold under the company name HiiCam. I have 3 of them and they’re GREAT. I believe of got mine for around Fifty bucks each.

Good, For the Price
Simple review without technical specs:Video is okay, same with Photos. This is a fixed lens, so you won’t be able to get cinematic quality and I doubt your photos will make it on the walls of the MoMA!This is a great beginners action cam. It’s easy to use, and comes with a lot of accessories. I have a 2nd gen GoPro, and the accessories for it costed more than this entire bundle. It’s fairly durable, too. I dropped it on the floor when I opened the package, and it worked fine. Luckily the camera ships already inside of the waterproof case.

Seems Like a Lot for the Money
Seems like a good value for the money considering all you get; but the one I received did not work. Returned it and tried another one. I was able to find a place on my electric bike to mount it. Price wise, this is more than adequate for what I need it for.Aug. 6, 2022- They were on sale, so I bought 3 more. The long story is the scooter people wouldn’t ship me just one more, so “naturally” I bought two.. Can’t let them sit around w/o cameras on them. Also I bought the extra one because I needed mulligan on one of the mount parts; and since I’m getting like 4 cameras for the price of a higher end one, it’s good to have the extra wires & parts around. The sad part of the story is all the strange people who are inconsiderate or just down right crazy behind the wheel. This is an entire topic of its own. I’m a lifelong non cell phone user. Another reason I like these cameras is they don’t emit wireless signal at all. I have a meter & I test everything I buy. And in my view it is the cell phones that are contributing massively to the insanity behind the wheel & in other places frankly.I’ve attached 4 of the neodymium, magnets to the bottom of a mount & covered it with a rubberized tool drawer liner material so the magnets don’t scratch the headlight. Plasti dip would also have worked. This last part is the new & improved design of this mod. It now looks factory. I could actually reverse engineer (from the Chinese ) these already very fun bikes into something worth much more with improvements I would make in their original design, if I had the gumption. Mostly it’s just materials I would upgrade. Ok, you pulled it out of me, I would make the frame out of aluminum or carbon fiber. The headlight is retro round & non led. That’s so cool. I like that. I would leave that as metal. Thank you for reading my idea.
